Description SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Parish Catechetical Leader or Pastor, the Faith Formation Coordinator (Baptism Preparation) is responsible for coordinating and administering baptismal programs. This includes preparing individuals and families to receive the sacraments, coordinating related liturgical celebrations, and ensuring proper documentation and program execution in alignment with diocesan standards. The Coordinator collaborates with parish staff, clergy, and volunteers to support effective Baptismal preparation.

Baptismal Responsibilities Coordinates and implements baptismal preparation programs in collaboration with the Pastor.
Recruits, trains, and supports volunteers involved in baptismal preparation.
Meets with families to guide them through the sacramental preparation process.
Facilitates preparation sessions and ensures appropriate materials are available.
Coordinates baptismal liturgies and ensures proper sacramental recordkeeping.
General Responsibilities Collaborates with parish staff and leadership to ensure alignment with overall faith formation efforts. Ensures compliance with diocesan policies, including Safe Environment requirements. Participates in parish and diocesan meetings related to ministry responsibilities. Performs other duties as assigned.

- CATHOLIC FAITH Practice of the Catholic faith is required.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Catechetics, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in parish ministry or related field.
- OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals, including families, couples, clergy, and volunteers.
- Knowledge of Catholic doctrine, sacramental theology, and liturgical practices.
- Ability to coordinate multiple programs, schedules, and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Florida driver’s license required, with an acceptable driving record.
- WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed primarily in an office setting.
- This position may require a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, and may involve extended computer use.
