Paraprofessional 33 FT DVS

The paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher by implementing educational activities and supporting the emotional, social, and behavioral development of special needs children. Specific duties include monitoring academic work, performing clerical tasks, maintaining records, and supervising students during school activities.

A high school diploma or ged is the minimum educational requirement, though an associate's degree or 60 college credits are preferred, and no prior experience is strictly required. Candidates must attend mandatory annual trainings like cpi and cpr/Aed certification.
