Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor in Writing

The position involves teaching four sections of first-Year writing courses centered on discipline-Based or interdisciplinary topics, with each course designed by the faculty member in consultation with the writing program director. The instructor must also meet with each student three times during the semester to discuss their writing, with at least one meeting in person, and hold regular in-Person office hours.

Candidates are encouraged to apply from all scholarly disciplines, but a phd is strongly preferred for competitiveness, though terminal degrees or abd status may be considered. Preference is given to applicants with two or more years of experience teaching first-Year college writing.
