- Compensation: $21.50 – $22.50/hour with a $50/month cell phone stipend
- Reports to: Program Supervisor
Travel- 50% - Kane - Cook County.

Position overview
We’re seeking a Group Coordinator to lead engaging, family-centered programming for Healthy Families participants. This role plays a key part in creating welcoming spaces where parents feel supported, connected, and empowered. You’ll plan and facilitate weekly parent groups, coordinate quarterly field trips, and organize family-focused events that encourage learning, bonding, and community building.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with families, is comfortable facilitating groups, and brings strong organizational and communication skills to their work.

- Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and facilitate weekly parent groups, family events, and quarterly field trips
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that supports positive parent-child interaction
- Build trusting, strength-based relationships with pregnant women and families
- Manage logistics including materials, childcare coordination, and meal-area setup
- Conduct outreach to enroll families and maintain consistent engagement
- Develop newsletters, outreach materials, and social media content to promote programming
- Collect, maintain, and submit accurate program data and documentation
- Participate in trainings, reflective practice, supervision, and team meetings
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and safety standards at all times

Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field required
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, parents, and families facing multiple stressors
- Group facilitation, workshop leadership, or event planning experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong data entry skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required
