The lead teacher is responsible for planning and implementing the curriculum alongside an assistant teacher for a class of children, focusing on meeting their emotional, physical, cognitive, and social needs. Key duties include providing a safe, nurturing learning environment, attending to children's physical needs, and establishing positive partnerships with parents.

Candidates must possess three years of experience in group education of children and hold either a bachelor's or associate's degree along with the 45-Hour dcf training course, or meet florida department of health requirements for teaching in an early childhood learning center. Cpr and first aid certification are required or willingness to acquire them.
