High School Special Education Teacher

The teacher is responsible for delivering specific course content in an online environment, providing instruction, managing the learning process based on each student's individualized education program (Iep), and ensuring all special education services are provided as determined by the iep team. This includes developing compliant ieps, facilitating meetings, modifying lessons, and actively working with students and parents to advance learning.

Minimum requirements include a bachelor's degree and an active michigan teaching certification with a special education endorsement, along with the ability to clear a required background check. Candidates must also be able to work independently, maintain a professional home office, and demonstrate proficiency in various microsoft office applications.
