Staff Interpreter - The Department of Theory and Practice in Education - UTK

The role involves providing interpreted asl messages and spoken english with cultural and linguistic equivalence for faculty and staff, while also serving as the coordinator for the department's asl lab activities. This position offers leadership-Level asl interpreting and coordination of interpreting services, including scheduling aligned with institutional accessibility standards.

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or commensurate field experience, registry of interpreters for the deaf (Rid) certification, or bei master level certification, along with a minimum of 3 years of asl interpreting experience. Candidates must demonstrate highly proficient american sign language skills and adherence to the nad-Rid code of professional conduct.
