Preschool Teacher

The preschool teacher is responsible for maintaining a quality learning environment, instructing children to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth, and planning and implementing the educational plan for the head start program. Duties include direct classroom activity management, training assistants, assessing children, maintaining cumulative records, and ensuring compliance with licensing and performance standards.

Candidates must meet specific educational and experience requirements which vary by teacher level (1, 2, or 3), ranging from an associate's degree with six months experience up to a bachelor's degree with state certification and two years of experience. All candidates require specific certifications, including child care credential ii & i, valid driver's license, and current cpr/First aid certification, alongside passing pre-Employment screenings.
