Camp Counselor

The camp counselor will actively supervise and engage campers using best practices in youth development, focusing on safety, learning, exploration, and instilling core ymca values like honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring. Responsibilities also include preparing daily activities, adhering to program standards, maintaining records, and ensuring positive relations with staff and parents.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or ged, and possess previous experience working with children, preferably in a day camp setting for ages 5-13. Required certifications include adult and pediatric cpr, first aid, and aed training prior to the start date.
