Caregivers provide medical, neurological, and telemetry care for inpatient and observation patients with cancer or related diagnoses, interacting directly with patients and families to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information. Responsibilities include participating in a residency curriculum, providing direct nursing care with a success coach, establishing care priorities, responding to patient health risks, and documenting in medical records.
Requirements summary
Minimum qualifications require graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, current rn licensure, and basic life support (Bls) certification. Candidates should be new graduates or have less than one year of rn experience, or if transitioning from non-Inpatient to acute direct care, less than one year of current acute direct patient care rn experience.
