About the role

Faculty

are expected to be excellent teachers committed to innovative instruction delivery, including teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels in the ACOTE-accredited Master of Occupational Therapy program. Typical duties involve classroom and lab instruction in a traditional, in-person format, along with performing grading and testing.

Assignments will include teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as applicable.

Teaching assignments may be on the main campus or at off-campus sites within our region.

Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor.

Required Qualifications: Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy (OTD/PhD) or related field from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation. Licensed occupational therapist in the State of Florida.

Preferred Qualifications

Academic doctorate degree from a regionally accredited institution or equivalent accreditation, board certification. Knowledge Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of occupational therapy content expertise. Promote a common purpose consistent with stated University goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment. Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manual related to the job tasks. Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies. Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Present a professional image in word, action and attire. Apply effective techniques to create working relationships with others to achieve common goals; successfully communicates and collaborates with others to achieve goals. Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations and processes critically to make recommendations for improvement.
