  • Purpose: - The Life Enrichment Facilitator at PORTAL INC plays a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This position involves coordinating a wide range of educational, recreational, and leisure activities and events in both community and center-based settings. The facilitator works closely with individuals, families, and other agency team members to create meaningful opportunities for people with disabilities to actively participate in their communities as valued neighbors, productive workers, and respected citizens.

  • Responsibilities: - Collaborate with individuals, families, and agency team members to develop and implement community engagement activities. - Coordinate educational, recreational, and leisure activities tailored to the needs and interests of individuals with I/DD. - Facilitate opportunities for individuals to participate in community events and activities that promote inclusion and active citizenship. - Ensure that all activities are accessible and accommodating to the diverse needs of participants. - Maintain effective communication with families and caregivers to support individuals' participation in programs. - Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and activities, making adjustments as necessary to enhance engagement and outcomes. - Uphold the values and mission of PORTAL INC by promoting dignity, respect, and inclusion for all individuals.QualificationsRequired
