  • Description Lowcountry Therapy is a family-oriented outpatient pediatric clinic with locations in both Bluffton and Port Royal, SC.
  • We provide services in both of our Bluffton and Port Royal facilities, customized for sensory and play.
  • We also provide services in the community including both in the home as well as private schools and daycares.

Requirements

An average day for a Speech-Language Pathologist: Conduct Initial Evaluation including a comprehensive evaluation of documentation, formal speech-language tests and other relevant tests to be able to establish a plan of care Complete an individualized Plan of Care which defines treatment rendered, frequency of treatment and measurable short- and long-term goals Implements treatment to correct disorders of speech, language, voice, oral-pharyngeal function and cognitive/ communication skills. Develop and dispense augmentative and alternate communication systems and provide training in their use Provides consultation, educational, and other advisory services to the patient, family members and caregivers. To hearing impaired individuals, screening of hearing, limited to pass/fail determination and screening of other skills for the purpose of speech-language evaluation Reevaluates the patient to determine the efficacy of the care and adjusts the plan accordingly by modifying the treatment and adjusting the goals Maintains all patient documentation including initial evaluation, plan of care, daily progress notes and discharge notes Job Requirements: 2+ years of experience in an outpatient facility that specializes in pediatrics (including fieldwork) Available to work at least two nights until 6:30 PM, with the potential to have Fridays off Willingness to travel locally and attend up to 10 hours weekly in a school or community setting Knowledge and abilities to provide high-quality therapy Excellent communication and personal relationship skills A passion for working in teams and independently A high standard of quality and attention to detail Impeccable organization and time management skills The drive to take initiative and own your tasks from start to finish Excellent knowledge of Google Drive and experience with an iPad Education & Certification Requirements: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology A current State of South Carolina speech-language pathologist license (SC LLR) CPR certification Teaching certificate preferred We have: A dedication to providing the highest quality therapy, designed to serve each child's potential A passion for empowering the participation of family and caregivers in the therapy process A commitment to empowering children to participate in life's activities A commitment to support the growth of our professional team through clinical excellence and continued education A year-long mentorship program for new graduates Multidisciplinary teamwork- including weekly team meetings and team-building events A passion for community involvement
