Core responsibilities
Rbts will work with individuals with autism and other intellectual or developmental disabilities to reduce challenging behaviors, increase functional skills, and foster independence by implementing established treatment plans. Responsibilities include direct client interaction, documenting progress, collecting behavior data, and providing necessary training and instruction to help clients meet their goals.
Requirements summary
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or ged; no prior experience is necessary as comprehensive training is provided. Successful completion of the rbt academy and passing the rbt exam are required to become a registered behavior technician with bayada.
