Henry Ford Academy Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher develops and provides specialized instruction tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities, while also evaluating student progress against instructional objectives. This role involves functioning as the iep caseload manager, developing annual iep plans, and serving as the primary contact for parents.

Candidates must possess a minimum b.a./B.s. Degree in teaching from an accredited institution in the appropriate special education area and hold a current state of michigan teaching license in the required content area. Essential qualifications include thorough knowledge of special education principles, effective teaching methodologies for students with disabilities, and the ability to maintain positive classroom structure and behavior standards.
