A highly sought-after Illinois school district is urgently seeking a full-time School Psychologist to join their team immediately through the end of the school year. This is a high-impact role for a professional ready to step in and make a difference right away.
As a key member of the student services team, you will conduct psychoeducational evaluations, support IEP development, provide counseling and behavioral guidance, and collaborate with educators and families to strengthen academic and social-emotional outcomes. Your insight will directly influence student success and school-wide support systems.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret assessment data and provide clear, actionable recommendations. Develop and support implementation of behavior intervention and support plans. Serve as a consultative resource for teachers and families to strengthen student outcomes. Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP development, and multidisciplinary team discussions. Provide individual and small-group counseling for students experiencing social-emotional or behavioral challenges. Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and classroom observations to assess academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Promote resilience, wellness, and positive coping strategies, including communication skills, problem-solving, self-regulation, anger management, and self-determination.
Requirements
Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology. Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced school environment.
