The Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching swim lessons according to the established curriculum in a safe, professional, and caring manner to ensure participants have a positive experience and progress to the next level. This includes preparing daily lesson plans, enforcing safety rules, recording student progress, and managing class attendance.
Candidates must be a minimum of 16 years old (15 years old considered based on availability) and possess the ability to understand and motivate people. While YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor Certification or American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification is preferred, no prior experience is explicitly required.

Under the direction of the Aquatics Director, the Swim Instructor is responsible for teaching swim lessons in a safe, professional and caring manner according to the established curriculum to ensure the participants have an overall positive experience and eventually progress to the next level.
