Family Consultant

The consultant will provide information, intervention, and learning opportunities to qualified families and pregnant women to meet federal head start performance standards, utilizing specialized curriculum to guide them toward individualized family and child development goals. Essential duties include conducting weekly home visits, teaching parenting and child development skills, completing required assessments and documentation in childplus, and assisting families with health and service needs.

A minimum requirement is an associate's degree in early childhood education, social work, human social services, or a related field, along with at least one year of related experience; a bachelor's degree in these fields is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, provide their own transportation for home visits, and pass required background checks and medical examinations.
