Mental Health Consultant

The mental health consultant supports a program culture promoting mental health, preventing challenges, and identifying concerns in children and families through education and community referrals. This role involves implementing head start performance standards for mental health services, including conducting observations, screenings, and providing consultation to staff.

A master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field is required, along with a license as a mental health practitioner. Preferred experience includes providing mental health services to young children and their families, alongside administrative skills and the ability to handle confidential matters.
