Assistant Counselor Summer Day Camp

The assistant camp counselor is responsible for ensuring a fun and safe environment for children to play, learn, and grow, while supporting the lead counselors and camp director. Essential functions include assisting with before and after care, leading and assisting in varied group activities, and communicating any issues to the director.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and must provide three letters of recommendation, along with passing a child abuse & neglect background check if 18 or older. Candidates need to be responsible, enthusiastic, communicate effectively, adhere to ymca values, and possess current adult/Child cpr and first aid certification before the start date.
