Certified Orthopedic Therapist Assistant (COTA)

The certified orthopedic therapist assistant implements orthopedic and functional mobility interventions under pt supervision, facilitating safe access and reinforcing strategies for student independence across various school settings. This role also involves collecting and documenting progress data, communicating needs to the supervising pt, and collaborating with staff and families to generalize support strategies.

Candidates must complete an accredited occupational therapy assistant program and hold or be eligible for a colorado cota license, preferably with experience in pediatric, orthopedic, or school-Based settings. A commitment to inclusive, trauma-Informed, and culturally responsive practice is required, along with the ability to follow treatment plans and communicate effectively.
