Developmental Therapists collaborate with children from birth through age three and their families to achieve established developmental objectives. Services are delivered directly within the families' residences across designated counties.
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Early Childhood Education or Developmental Psychology, and possess a valid driver's license. Candidates are also required to pass criminal and child abuse background checks and maintain current CPR/First Aid certification.

Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive in the daytime or at night Provide proof of the required degree via transcripts from an accredited school Must pass a criminal background check, as required by the Healthcare Worker Background Check Act (225 ILCS 46), and a DCFS Child Abuse and Neglect background check Successfully complete and maintain American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification
ACADEMIC/OTHER REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Special Education, Child Development, Early Intervention, or Elementary Education.
240 hours of direct service to children from birth to three years old under the supervision of an Illinois credentialed Developmental Therapist (the agency can work with the right applicant to obtain this).
Completion of the Illinois Early Intervention Systems Training
AND can submit proof of training on the use of a formal assessment tool that would allow the provider to perform global evaluations and assessments with children under the age of three
SCHEDULE Daytime on Monday through Friday with major holidays and weekends off
WAGES $49,000/ year
PAY SCHEDULE Every two weeks with direct deposit available upon request
