Special Education Teacher #ESC4664

The special education teacher will instruct students in a k-1 self-Contained life skills classroom, supporting 8 to 10 students, several of whom have autism, including assisting those who are non-Verbal or have limited verbal abilities. Responsibilities also include collaborating with paraprofessionals, working on ieps, and performing other assigned tasks.

Candidates must possess a relevant bachelor's or master's degree along with an active illinois pel license that includes the lbs1 endorsement. At least one year of special education teaching experience is preferred, and experience with uls is also desired.
