NYCPS Social Studies Teacher (New Visions Affinity Network)

Teachers are expected to develop relevant and accessible content-Based curriculum and assess student growth using both formal and informal assessment data. They must also build students’ academic and socio-Emotional skills and advocate for appropriate student supports.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, with a master's degree preferred, along with valid new york state teacher certification. Candidates must have a proven track record of planning lessons with clear objectives, strong organizational skills, and demonstrated success in tailoring instruction for diverse learners.
