HSDE Advisement and Guidance Specialist

The specialist will provide academic, career, and personal counseling for high school juniors and seniors participating in the dual enrollment program, working directly with students and consulting with teachers, administrators, and parents. Responsibilities include coordinating academic progress, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring students meet high school graduation requirements.

A master’s degree in counseling or a comparable field with recent experience is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience counseling adolescents in a high school, college, or similar setting. Preferred qualifications include florida certification in school counseling and extensive knowledge of high school graduation and college degree requirements.
