Core responsibilities
The asl interpreter is responsible for providing on-Campus and field interpreting services to consumers, staff, stakeholders, and visitors, alongside providing instruction in american sign language and related communication methods to staff and students. Duties also include maintaining progress notes, assisting in preparing learning aids, and participating in team planning meetings.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess a required bachelor's degree and have passed the rid/Nad nic knowledge test from an interpreting training program. A minimum of two to three years of interpreting experience specifically with individuals who are deafblind or deaf-Visually impaired is mandatory, with certification required within five years.
