Professional Development Associate, Respiratory

The respiratory professional development associate coordinates with leadership and the respiratory care educator to facilitate job competence and professional growth for respiratory therapists, performing educational duties and functioning as a clinical respiratory therapist when needed. This role involves assessing learning needs, developing educational tools, providing training, and mentoring staff on clinical skills and critical thinking.

Candidates must be graduates of a coarc accredited respiratory care program with a bachelor's degree, hold an active illinois respiratory care practitioner license and rrt credential, and possess a minimum of two years of pediatric critical care experience plus two years of education experience, including preceptorship. Required certifications include bls upon hire, with pals, nrp, and acls required upon hire, and neonatal/Pediatric specialist certification within one year.
