Child Care Substitute Teacher (up to 29 hours per week)

The assistant teacher supports the childcare director by helping implement daily activities within the childcare programs, ensuring adherence to licensing rules and ymca policies. Essential functions include maintaining a safe environment, assisting with curriculum delivery, preparing meals/Snacks, and interacting positively with children.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, pass a child care background check, and obtain cpr/Aed certification (Required within 30 days of hire). Additionally, one dcf department-Approved course in child care and 10 hours of dcf-Approved infant/Toddler training are required within six months of hiring, if applicable.
