About the role

The Substitute Special Education Teacher will implement group and individualized instruction while establishing classroom schedules and routines. They will also administer assessments to identify learning needs and implement Individualized Education Plans.

To be successful in this role, you will

Implements group and individualized instruction in compliance with agency, State and Federal Guidelines.

Implements lessons and hands-on activities through a variety of materials and resources.

Works with classroom schedules and routines designed to improve self-esteem, learning potential and relational development.

Administers and evaluates assessments to identify learning needs to improve educational achievement and instruction.

Implement and manage the Individualized Education Plan using the Montana electronic system, Infinite Campus (AIM).

Implement the Individual Education Plan for out-of-state students in accordance with master contracts and individual services agreements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
  • Ability to obtain a Montana Teaching Certificate
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must pass a Background check prior to start date

Requirements

Candidates should have a B.S. or B.A. degree in Elementary Education, with a preference for an endorsement in Special Education K-12. A valid Montana Driver’s License and a successful background check are also required.
