Family Support Specialist - Salem

The family support worker establishes and maintains a long-Term relationship with families in the healthy families program, providing in-Home education and supportive services from pregnancy through the child's third birthday. Responsibilities include outreach, screening for eligibility, interviewing parents to identify needs, assisting in goal setting, assessing child development, and referring families to necessary supportive agencies like healthcare providers.

A minimum requirement is a high school diploma or ged equivalent along with two years of experience working with children aged 0-3 and their families, including knowledge of normal child growth and community agency processes. Candidates must also possess an acceptable driving record and access to an insured vehicle for travel within new jersey.
