The camp lifeguard is responsible for maintaining active surveillance of the pool area, responding immediately to emergencies according to policy, and ensuring pool cleanliness and equipment availability. They must also demonstrate and teach the ymca core values to campers and staff while enforcing all camp rules and regulations.

Requirements summary

Candidates must be a minimum of 15 years old (16 preferred) and possess current certifications in cpr for the professional rescuer, aed, basic first aid, and american red cross lifeguarding. Applicants must also be able to maintain physical and mental readiness and demonstrate required lifeguard skills.
