Teacher Assistant

The teacher assistant supports the head start/Early head start teacher in a 0-5 classroom by helping to provide a child-Focused learning environment and assisting with individualized curriculum planning and lesson delivery. Responsibilities also include co-Teaching, responding to emergencies, and ensuring adherence to head start performance standards.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a minimum of a high school diploma or ged. Successful completion of the child development associate (Cda) program is required within program guidelines, along with obtaining cpr & first aid certification shortly after employment.
