State Univ Adjunct Unit - Department of Social Science

Adjunct faculty members are expected to demonstrate a commitment to serving a diverse student body by delivering student-Centered education using approaches that support equitable outcomes for all students. They must also provide excellent learning environments through in-Person, online, and/Or hybrid course modalities.

Minimum qualifications for teaching undergraduate courses vary but generally require a master's degree or terminal degree in the discipline, or a combination of a bachelor's degree plus graduate coursework or relevant work experience. All faculty teaching graduate level courses must hold a terminal degree or a master's degree with specific terminal degree graduate coursework or related work experience.
