6th/7th grade Social Studies Pre-AP Teacher - IDEA La Joya College Prep (26-27)

Teachers are responsible for ensuring every student masters academic and social skills necessary for college success by implementing state learning standards and idea curricula to meet ambitious academic expectations. This involves submitting weekly lesson plans, tracking student progress through assessments, and communicating results weekly to students and families.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree and demonstrate high content-Area proficiency, preferably with k-12 classroom experience, although state certification is preferred but not required. Essential skills include knowledge of the assigned subject matter, basic understanding of instructional practices, and strong abilities in instruction, behavior management, organization, and communication.
