Home Educator

This role involves acting as a resource and support for parents in a home-Based program, facilitating learning by developing individualized educational programs with families and strengthening their knowledge of child development, health, and community resources. The educator must conduct required home visits, manage an assigned caseload, and develop and implement group socialization activities emphasizing peer interaction for children.

Required education is an associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or a cda with 18 hours of early childhood development, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Required work experience for ehs candidates includes a minimum of six months in a licensed childcare or early childhood facility, though pcep home educators do not require prior experience.
