Requirements summary

Required education is an associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, or a cda with 18 hours of early childhood development, with a bachelor's degree preferred. Required work experience for ehs candidates includes a minimum of six months in a licensed childcare or early childhood facility, though pcep home educators do not require prior experience.
