The Classroom Support Substitute collaborates with staff to deliver the classroom curriculum according to Head Start standards while ensuring the care and supervision of children through a trauma-informed lens. This role requires maintaining classroom consistency, building positive relationships with children, and acting as a positive role model while adhering to all safety protocols and supervision ratios.
Applicants must possess a High School Diploma or GED and successfully complete the Family Service Smart Start for Teacher’s ANGELS Substitute Program, along with holding current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certifications. Fluency in both English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) is a desirable requirement for this position.
