Junior Camp Counselor

The junior camp counselor assists the summer camp director in supervising assigned campers to ensure a healthy and positive summer program, focusing heavily on maintaining camper safety and health according to nj requirements. Essential functions include implementing directed camp activities, maintaining equipment, communicating positively with all stakeholders, and adhering to strict policies regarding boundaries and abuse reporting.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess knowledge of crafts, group games, and sports, with previous experience in camping or childcare preferred. Candidates must also obtain cpr/Aed and first aid certification within 90 days of employment and demonstrate commitment to the ymca's core values.
