Position Details

Special Education Paraeducators Title: Paraeducators Location: Burlington, CT Duration: ASAP to Tentatively till 6/11/2026 Onsite/Virtual: Onsite Position Type: Contract Working Hours: 32.5 hours weekly, from Monday to Friday, 30 min un paid lunch. Student Age Group: Elementary school

Responsibilities

Paraprofessional Assist students with special needs under the direction of a certified teacher. Help with general daily classroom activities. Support special needs students in their physical and emotional health and safety. Promote dignity in all relationships. Teach small groups of students essential skills for learning. Assist with core academics and executive functioning skills. Contribute to positive educational outcomes as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

Special Education Paraeducators High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of college credit OR an Associate's degree (or higher) OR Pass a paraeducator assessment (Para Pro).
