Adapted Program Team Member

Responsibilities include encouraging program participants by providing excellent service, reinforcing ymca values, and following approved positive support techniques to develop participant skills. Team members must also follow detailed schedules, implement lesson plans, and work collaboratively with supervisors and families to promote positive behavior and success.

Candidates must be 18 years or older, with coursework, training, or experience toward bcba or aba strongly preferred, and ctrs certification or background in recreational therapy, early intervention, or special education preferred. Essential abilities include maintaining positive instructional style, mentoring diverse participants, sustaining concentration, engaging positively with disabilities, and understanding best practices for inclusive support.
