The role involves working one-On-One with an individual with i/Dd to help them achieve goals for independence, which includes instructing them in daily living skills, socialization, and employment activities. Responsibilities also include meticulous documentation of services provided, adherence to company policies, and assisting with essential daily needs like housekeeping and meal preparation.

Candidates must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma or ged and must be able to read, write, and follow directions. Essential requirements include having a valid driver's license, three full years of driving experience, acceptable liability insurance, and no substantiated findings on the nc health care abuse registry.
