Day Head Start Teacher Assistant, Rm #4

The head start teacher assistant collaborates with the head start teacher to develop varied activities and maintain an appropriate learning environment for children, potentially including those with disabilities. This role involves supervising children, sharing in lesson plan development and implementation, and acting as the teacher when necessary, including completing assigned paperwork and reports.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and are required to pass a background check. While a child development associate (Cda) credential is required or the willingness to obtain one, prior experience working with preschool children is preferred but not mandatory.
