Head Start/Early Head Start Universal Substitute

The universal substitute continues the duties of the teacher assistant, or both the teacher and teacher assistant, in their absence, which includes the supervision of children. This role is also responsible for learning all aspects of a head start classroom, including completing assigned paperwork and reports, and may cover duties for a cook or custodian.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and are required to obtain a child development associate (Cda) credential or be willing to obtain one. Experience working with preschool children is preferred but not mandatory.
