Position Summary

The McAuley School of Nursing at the University of Detroit Mercy seeks a highly organized and collaborative Clinical Coordinator for the nursing program. This professional staff position plays a critical role in coordinating clinical placements to ensure high-quality experiential education that meets programmatic, accreditation, regulatory, and safety standards. Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Coordination: Coordinate and manage clinical placements for nursing students. Collaborate with faculty to identify student clinical requirements and placement needs. Maintain relationships with clinical agencies and preceptors to support student learning. Manage student onboarding and compliance using clinical placement databases. Maintain accurate clinical site, preceptor, and student placement records. Coordinate clinical orientations and preceptor communications. Administrative Support: Assist with documentation, handbooks, and learning management system resources related to clinical education. Support continuous quality improvement initiatives. Coordinate electronic evaluations. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Nursing. Experience in clinical coordination. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills – Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Higher education or healthcare administrative experience. Experience with database management such as Typhon, ACEMAPP or similar systems. Physical Requirements Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).

Work Environment Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.

Salary/Pay Information Commensurate with experience
