Position Summary

The Clinical Director of the Early Intervention Clinic and Academy provides strategic and operational leadership for all clinical services delivered within these programs. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based ABA services while maintaining compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation requirements. Guided by Behavioral Health Allies’ Core Values—Empower Through Innovation, Integrity in Action, Advocate with Passion, Leaders in Learning, Compassionate Care Always, and Sustainable Growth, Lasting Impact—the Clinical Director champions clinical excellence, staff development, and data-driven decision-making. This position plays a critical role in advancing BHA’s mission by ensuring clinical integrity, strong outcomes for individuals served, and sustainable program growth across both Early Intervention and Academy settings.

Employees must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including maintaining continuous alertness, providing direct supervision, driving individuals served as required, and administering medications as trained

Qualifications

Education, Licensure & Certification: · Master’s or Doctoral degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field from an accredited program. · Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required. · Active Missouri and/or Kansas LBA licensure as applicable to service locations. · Completion of BACB-required supervision training (8-hour supervision course)

Experience

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in ABA service delivery, including at least 3 years in a clinical leadership or supervisory role. · Demonstrated experience overseeing multidisciplinary clinical teams and complex service models. · Experience in Early Intervention, school-based/academy settings, or intensive behavioral programs preferred.

  • Skills & Competencies Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and visual).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent organization and attention to detail.

    Integrity in Action · Ensure all clinical services comply with BACB ethical standards, state licensing requirements, payer regulations, and BHA policies. · Maintain strict confidentiality of client, family, and employee information, including full adherence to HIPAA and PHI standards. · Model ethical decision-making and address clinical or compliance concerns promptly and transparently.

    Advocate with Passion · Serve as a clinical advocate for clients, families, and staff by ensuring appropriate services, resources, and supports. · Participate in intake reviews and determine clinical appropriateness for services in alignment with BHA criteria. · Collaborate with schools, medical providers, and community partners to support integrated care.

    Leaders in Learning · Provide mentorship, supervision, and professional development for BCBAs, BCaBAs, provisional staff, and trainees. · Ensure supervision and training meet BACB, licensure, and organizational standards. · Foster a culture of continuous learning, feedback, and clinical excellence.

    Compassionate Care, Always · Ensure individualized, person-centered treatment plans that reflect dignity, respect, and meaningful progress for each client. · Support families and caregivers through responsive communication, intake engagement, and ongoing collaboration. · Promote a trauma-informed, supportive culture across Early Intervention and Academy environments.

    Sustainable Growth, Lasting Impact · Oversee clinical capacity, staffing models, and utilization to support program sustainability and growth. · Collaborate with billing and finance teams to ensure accurate documentation, authorization utilization, and revenue integrity. · Monitor clinical performance metrics, including outcomes, productivity, and service efficiency.

    Functional responsibilities

    Clinical Oversight & Service Delivery · Oversee assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and progress monitoring for all clients served. · Review and approve clinical documentation, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with BHA policies. · Ensure data-driven decision-making and timely adjustments to treatment plans.

    Quality Assurance & Compliance · Implement and maintain quality assurance systems to monitor clinical fidelity, outcomes, and compliance. · Conduct audits, reviews, and corrective action planning as needed. · Stay current on regulatory changes, accreditation standards, and industry best practices.

    Staff Development & Supervision · Directly and indirectly supervise clinical staff, ensuring adequate support, coaching, and performance feedback. · Conduct performance evaluations and support career growth and succession planning. · Oversee onboarding, training, and ongoing competency development for clinical teams.

    Financial & Operational Stewardship · Monitor clinical-related financial metrics including authorization usage, productivity, and cost efficiency. · Support timely and accurate billing through oversight of documentation and service delivery alignment. · Complete time and expense reporting in accordance with company policy.

    Collaboration & Leadership · Serve on and chair clinical committees as assigned. · Collaborate closely with executive leadership, operations, education, and clinical partners. · Support organizational initiatives, accreditation efforts, and strategic planning.

    Other Duties · Perform special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned. · Communicate promptly regarding any changes in licensure or certification status that may impact role eligibility. · Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions. · Conduct staff training, supervision, and performance evaluations as assigned. · Participate in on-call rotations for behavioral crisis response. · Complete all documentation, billing, and reporting requirements in accordance with BHA and regulatory guidelines. · Uphold BHA’s mission and values in all work performed.

    Our compensation is competitive within the market. The starting rate for this position begins at $71,410.87 annually, with your final offer based on a combination of your education, relevant experience, and overall qualifications.
