The Tutorial Assistant supports students by developing a positive learning environment and documenting their progress. They are also responsible for communicating concerns to the Site Project Coordinator and suggesting improvements to course content.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds. Some related experience is preferred.
We are seeking a Tutorial Assistant who will support students as needed.
Develop rapport with students and establish a positive learning environment. Evaluate and document student progress. Communicate student progress and concerns to the Site Project Coordinator. Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning. Suggest improvements to course content. Perform other related duties as requested.
High School Diploma or GED Experience teaching students from diverse backgrounds Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
