Job description

Our Registered Nurse will work closely with the school community to help maintain a healthy and safe environment for students and staff. This is a one-year temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent. We are looking for two final part-time candidates.

Work Hours

7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

  • Essential Functions
  • Provide first aid, medical care, and emergency care services to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Administer medications and treatments to students as ordered by students’ physicians.
  • Assist in the collection and management of health forms.
  • Create and maintain documentation of all encounters, assessments, and interventions.
  • Serve as liaison between students, teachers and families in regards to health concerns.
  • Position Qualifications
  • Current Maryland RN license - BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Nursing experience in a high school setting.
  • Current Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to quickly and competently assess medical situations and escalate as needed.

Pay Range

$26 - $28, Hourly
