Core responsibilities
The rti specialist supports the instructional program by assessing at-Risk students' needs for response to intervention (Rti) services, implementing strategies, and monitoring student performance across grades 5th/6th through 8th. Key duties include collaborating with staff and parents, planning and delivering instruction, facilitating team meetings, and providing technical assistance on rti and behavioral support models.
Requirements summary
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required, and a valid nys certification in special education within the relevant grade span is preferred. Candidates should ideally have a minimum of three years of experience as a school educator and possess knowledge of national, state, and local special education statutes and law.
