Surgical Technologist

The surgical technologist anticipates the needs of the surgical team, establishes and maintains the sterile field during procedures, and ensures the sterility of all supplies and instruments. Duties also include assisting the circulating nurse, managing counts, gowning surgeons, handling specimens, and participating in terminal cleaning and reprocessing of equipment.

Candidates must have a high school diploma/Ged and completion of an accredited surgical technology program, requiring certification. Two years of experience is preferred, and the role requires the ability to perform essential duties to a high degree or demonstrate a willingness to learn.
