The Graduate Assistant will support the Cross Country/Track and Field Program by assisting coaches in training student-athletes mentally and physically for competition, and will be responsible for coaching a specific event group. Duties also include supervising team events when coaches are absent and participating in fundraising efforts.

Summary: The Cross Country/Track and Field Graduate Assistant will provide event training and management of event group as well as overall support of Cross country/Track and Field Program.
Assist the head and assistant coaches in training of student athletes. Preparing them mentally and physically for practice and competition.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to.
Coaching and training of student athletes in particular event group.
Supervision of practice, study hall or other team events while head coach or assistant coach are away.
Proficient in working with word, excel and power point.
Have appropriate boundaries with student athletes, assisting them in becoming the best student-athlete they can become.
Participation in program and athletic department fund-raising efforts.
Work effectively with students, student-athletes, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, officials, and coaching peers.
