Special Education Teacher

The special education teacher develops and implements unit and lesson plans based on student iep goals, utilizing massachusetts common core state standard curriculum frameworks to guide instruction. Responsibilities also include writing ieps and quarterly progress reports, collaborating on behavior management plans, and monitoring student data.

A bachelor's degree is required, preferably with an m.ed. In special education and moderate special needs certification for grades k-12. Candidates need at least 1 year of teaching experience in a school setting or 3+ years of related experience, along with required first aid/Cpr and physical restraint training.
